enter The Zone and perform perfectly at everything you do. Flow State sounds too good to be true, until you experience it. I believe this state of hyper focus and pure serenity is the end goal of any competitive endeavor, and will help you perform optimally at CS:GO.
I entered flow state while playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and experienced a hyper focus that helped me perform at my absolute peak. This birthed a new Obsession with high performance and getting 'in the zone' that will hopefully help me complete soloQ to Global? I put a question mark there because... yeah I'm overselling this a bit, but it makes for a good thumbnail and description right?

Once (after college exams) I played A LOT of CS (like 400 something hours),and that timeline I didn't had anything to worry or think and at that time,I went from Silver 2 to Gold Nova 3,since then I fell back because of exams etc.(mg1 at rank btw) But,I've Improved the most at that time. My suggestion:Be confident.Don't think about bad or stressing stuff and if you do enter the zone,do not distract yourself, since it is the best time to learn.

Broo I got recommended this vid after going into zone myself! I clutched 4 times, one time it was an ace clutch. I hit some very cool headshots and I carried my friends, which some were 3 ranks higher than me. Sadly we too lost that game, one my friend got tilted and left because of another friend who rushed party with revolver and popped balloons (we played overpass) and we played 4v5. As WarOwl once said, he would always take a whole good team over one hero who carried others.

Wanna go into flow? I don't know how to. But the precondition is, you have to aim just enough your current skill level, to push just slightly beyond your limits.

If I saw one, he was dead. twitch headys, beautiful movement and what seemed to be prophesized preordained quick changes. My first realisation of what you call flow. There were many more to follow. During 2019, I got really into Mordhau and managed to work my way up to the top 100. I got extremely good at the game, so good, that I could read Twitch chat, respond to people chatting, and win my engagements without thinking about the combat too much. It's definitely a unique feeling, when you do end up getting your ass kicked and you stop paying attention to your surrounding. You get a kind of "tunnel vision" on your monitor and you have a hyper-sensitivity to what is happening onscreen. In Mordhau, when I got super focused, I stopped paying attention to chat and would do super insane moves in the game, things I wouldn't normally do because I wasn't thinking, I just did. Getting to that point is very difficult though, because it's easy to write it off as "the enemy is just good" but if you have confidence in yourself, you can say "I can beat them." which you likely will. I believe that's what you didn't add in, the factor of your own confidence. In CS:GO, there's so many people who get headshot and write it off as "they're cheating" instead of saying "wow, that guy is good!", so you've already given up by then. But if you simply start playing around what they're doing, you'll get into the thought of "this is winnable, if I push myself a little harder, I can win!" But you did a good job of explaining everything else. ^-^

I have played many different types of games and I may have entered this state multiple times in different games. Unsure whether its just bad opponents, luck, or me actually playing well. I do feel like sometimes my reaction times, aim and decision making are better than others. And whenever I reflect back on those good games I get really frustrated when I can't perform as well as I had. I don't like performing poorly more than losing a game. I don't like dragging my teammates down cause of my performance.

It's also important to not flatten the meaning of the term 'flow' with using it as a synonym for tunnelvision or other concentration terms I think. It's something else, and you will know when it happens. Pretty happy to know now what that feeling was all the time :)

As a Taoist the flow state is essentially you becoming the act. Acting through non action. I reccomend the Tao Te Ching by Laozi its spiritual but the spiritual aspects dont have to be taken literally if you are scared of breaking your own religion.

the best advice is to read original book “The Flow”. Another advice is not drinking coffee, but get a huge cup of tea instead. Also making it last for 11hours is a rare but harmful thing. It’s better to make it a habit. Like exercises and meditation.

I once won $600 in a Fortnite tournament and I later realised that I was in flow state the entire 3 or 4 hours what it lasted. I hit every shot, I was playing in my potential, didn't and could not tilt. It was such an amazing experience. Sure I've experienced flow many times before and after the incident, but it was so strong in the tournament.

Question: I have a teammate that constantly calls me out on my bad plays critisises my miss-thrown smokes and Molly’s. I’ve asked him to talk to me after the game because I’ve found that as the game goes on I get worse and worse, he still callls me out and we end up arguing, I’m trying to get better but I can’t. I’d play with other people in a 5 q but problem is that I play with him and 4 other people and most of the time the 6th person I play wingman with so I’m kinda stuck with this teammate. What should I do?
преди 2 месецаGabe Stott
I'd say if you have a coach/ manager/ IGL ask for their support on the matter. If you don't have any of those things then keep asking him to save his criticism for post match and definitely send him this video to help him understand. Hope it works out for you man.

I sometimes achieve flow when I’m programming, and I’ve definitely realized that hunger disappears when that happens. The only other time I get in the zone like that is when I’m cooking. There’s so many things going on and different timings to hit and the thinking part of my brain just shuts down and I start doing it. That’s a great point about flow state not always being a good thing, though. I’ve gotten comments from people that I’m not fun to be around when that happens. They say I’m rushing, or acting too urgently. It’s so fun though!

That's what my father tried to teach me to do while studying. Now that i'm in the second year of uni I can do that freely but now instantly. I have to grind at least one week of mediocre concentration to get to that peak where i can study 20 pages to 40 in a hour. But if you do this all day you will get better and better at concentrating a long time on a boring/difficult task. training is key

The only time I remember entering flow was actually the purest desensitizing thing ever. I was playing CS and I remember I kept saying "You keep missing, you keep missing you keep missing", so it was like I was sharpening my aim mid-game with the self talk getting more and more increasingly loud and annoying. It got the point when that voice was lessening because I was landing my shots, and the moment that happened was when I entered the flow. I was badly self-talking myself so much, I entered flow and stopped talking badly about myself. Bruh.

I pour hours into my golf game every summer away from school. One day this past Summer after feeling like I was not improving at all, I entered the zone and shot 1 under par for 18 holes (4 hours of unbroken concentration). This is significant because at the time I played off a 10 handicap (meaning on average I shoot ten over par every round). I was aware that it was happening but still I didn't jinx myself or make a mistake as a result of the thoughts. It was a great experience just thought I'd share in the context of the video :)

I had so much late work and 6 tests to study for and I had one day to do it all I was extremely emotional I was angry at myself and at my teachers if I failed that was it for my junior year of high school but when I told myself it’s ok you can get this all done. I suddenly entered flow state you have to have an extremely difficult task at hand for you to enter it I enter it when I’m emotional like the example above so what works for Warowl won’t necessarily work for you. I find myself having an absolutely outstanding game, aim, movement and min in perfect sync. Not missing a single shot. Pin point accuracy. And about a third of the time I feel completely disconnected. I can't properly jiggle, I feel like the mouse is heavy as a hammer, aiming feels impossible. I've noticed that what mostly influences this is my sitting pos. A 15° deviation from my standard and the game feels alien. Incredible.

I can count the number of times i've gotten into that flow state on one hand Once in a college jazz recital where I had to take a solo as a guy who never takes solos. Let what I learned come out as smoothly as I ever have for a solo. Once at an actual show where the first half of the set was personally disappointing. I blocked out everything that wasn't the music, and turned my whole night around Once in the recording studio where the band was in the room with me while I was tracking my parts. This one was where the producer/engineer absolutely nailed their role and forced the other members out of the room. Just us two in there and I was able to lose myself in the four songs I had to record that day. The last time was when I was playing Dirt Rally 2.0 and after 2 mediocre stages changed from my speakers to my headphones and forgot all about everything that wasn't the co-driver calls, the car, and the road. I finished the last seven stages of the online event in the top 200 where I usually placed just inside the top 1000.

I was playing casual back in 2016 and it was Mirage. SwaggerSouls was doing his "shoutcasting" on stream and I killed him as he tried to rush A, I grabbed his safari-mesh ak. my whole team died without trading any kills as I had solo'd A by myself with bomb down. I believe it was a 1 v 6 when my last teammate went down. I finished the round (winning) of course. Then I proceeded to do another insane clutch 1 v 10 on Cobblestone. Yes I know it was casual but it was still fun as all hell. After my son was born I hadn't played CS for about 6 months or so (he was born late 2017) and after I had seen C9 win the Major in 2018 I knew I wanted to play some comp again. So I got on with a few of my old friends I used to paly with all the time. They welcomed me back assuming I was probably gonna need them to carry me. I entered that flow state once again. off a force buy 2nd round on Nuke T-side. P250 clutched 1 v 4 (1 v 3) post bomb plant. Then immediately kept that pace and one the map. The very next map we played was Overpass. T-Side. 1 v 4 Ace clutched pistol round. Wone that map as well. I have had plenty of these (flow states) growing up with Video games and when I used to play Basketball in school. First video game I remember was Socom II on PS2. Thus the 1st game to get me into competitive shooters. Too many good memories when feeling that flow state.

I have this quite often making music. Quickly 6-10 hours pass, almost peeing my pants and haven't given eating a thought. The main thing stopping me to get into the flow state are uncontrollable factors like issues with my gear or software. So eliminating friction is absolutely the way to go. Make sure your setup is good and reliable and have some decent teammates.

What's mot impressive is the fact that you were able to hold on to "flow state" for 11 straight hours. The max I can ever maintain it is roughly 45 minutes. I'm in a house with 3 different roommates and it is impossible to hold onto flow state for longer then a match of CS. Though I have learned how to induce flow state somewhat effectively (works probably 40-50% of the time when I try to induce it), I mainly use it to help me study for University and for when I need to crank out papers or articles. It also can happen when I'm practicing music or singing, though I have no idea how to induce it in a musical setting and it seems far more random than when I'm trying to "zone in" for gaming or for University.
