After listening to war owl's comments I think I can save people some time. Just take a cynical view of the world and how it works because that is most likely the correct point of view. I've found that putting faith in positive thinking usually doesn't work out. Reality seems to tend toward a negative. Use that as your start point for expectation and management and you will be starting off from a more realistic and reliable stance and you will likely increase your chances of success. Reality tends to be ... shit.

The autosniper is only 250 dollars more expensive than the awp. That makes it 5,26315789473684210526315789474 % more expensive. You dont hear people saying how expensive the awp is. I feel like this "autosnipers are so damn expensive" is just an excuse. Especially when you say you think its "stupidly powerful". A good awper has an advantage at long range, he can peek and shoot and unless you hit a headshot on him, he will get hit once and kill you. Also if youre firing the autosniper full auto, its not accurate after the first shot. You have to release lmb if you want to hit heads reliably at long range. My conclusion is: its not a useless weapon, its not an overpowered weapon, so i dont get the hate either. Well i do, its a tribal thing, people dont really have a reason why they hate it except that everyone else hates it.

The awp is better than the autosnipers, the autosnipers are overpriced for what they can do, and also $250 is an extra smoke and decoy sooooooooooooooo.

When I was about 14, probably 5 years ago now I was scammed into giving away my butterfly knife that I got from opening up my second ever case. They were worth about 130 bucks back then and to a 14 year old, that was crazy. It properly depressed me. Only started playing counterstrike again recently.

Honestly, I think there's multiple Valves that do their own thing and don't communicate with one another. Much as love them I wish there was more unity within. Also Gabe is an elder money god that Valve must feed lest he awakes and destroys everything.

Hey, I've got a couple ideas for unboxafragathons. You could combine your spicy pepper and gambling sucks specials, and make a video where for every dime you lose, you have to eat the pepper and then get the amount of frags for each dime lost. (Maybe call it the "Gambling REALLY Sucks!" special or something. You could have not only your money on fire in the thumbnail, but also your mouth as well.) You could do a "pro players" special where you have to get 10 frags against pro players. I'm sure you're friends with enough pros to get something going, you've got this. In the vein of the last idea, you could get some of the makers of the skins and do a deathmatch with them. That sounds like it'd be fun! Looking forward to more unboxafragathons! I always loved this series. You make great stuff WarOwl!

As far as I know, the biggest problem with Youtubes "verification" was that they never actually verified the identity of anyone. You just needed 100k subs to get the mark. And as you already explained people use it to see if they can trust an account but youtube didn't actually verify stuff. This was an extremely dangerous situation they needed to do something about but they utterly failed to communicate the problem.

Keep in mind that most of the money in dota2 comes from the comunity, and the biggest part of that community are content creators. The conunity protected them a lot of times and the risk of anoying the comunity that donates 120+ milion dollars and more each year is just not worth it. Its the exact oposite for cs go i feel. Its as if the game is kept alive by really good tournaments and organisations behind them.
